Davis Legacy Soccer Club is pleased to announce the hiring of Gordon Young as the club’s new Technical Advisor.

Gordon joins our staff  after a long career of working all across the globe at age ranges from the grassroots level all the way up to coaching in the Champions League.

“Gordon is an incredibly well-respected coaching educator and technical leader, not just in Europe, but here in the US as well,” said Davis Executive Director David Robertson. “It’s an honor to bring someone of his caliber to our club.”

Young, a UEFA Pro License coach, (the highest professional coaching license one can attain) realizes his new role after a variety of different jobs that have spanned four different continents and included stints with Motherwell FC, Dundee United, and Falkirk in his native country, as well as Sheffield United in England, and the Latvia Men’s National Team. He is currently the assistant head coach of Scottish first Division side Cove Rangers FC.

“We’ve hosted Gordon out at Davis Legacy for coaching education before and gotten rave reviews,” Robertson said. “He connects so well and inspires our coaches and directors. We’re looking forward to working with him on a more formal basis.”

Young’s role  is to help shape Legacy curriculum and provide coach education to all members of staff.

Meanwhile, Davis Legacy Soccer Club is also proud to announce Brian Seifert as the club’s new U9-U12 Technical Lead.

Seifert, who also is US Club Soccer’s West Region Coach Licensing Technical Lead, enters the role after having led Legacy’s U8 Grassroots Program, which will now be led by Kevin Comer. Prior to that, Seifert served as the head of Sacramento Republic FC’s Youth Development Program.
